Nha Trang. A beautiful paradise that's just a 10 hour sleeper bus ride away from Ho Chi Minh city. We honestly didn't even know this place existed until four days ago when our cooking teacher in Saigon pointed it out on a map and suggested we go here. We're seriously just going with the wind to wherever looks interesting to us.
What's very interesting is Nha Trang is a huge travel destination for Russians. Almost everything here is written in Vietnamese, English and Russian. Apparently, there are direct flights from places in Russia straight into Nha Trang so Russian tourists come by the thousands to this little spot of paradise. It's much less crowded here than in Saigon, which is a relief because the city life really isn't our style, we much prefer the beaches, mountains and quaint country side. This city has the perfect combination of all of those, the city is big enough to host tourists of any demographic, the beaches are sandy and perfect for diving/snorkeling, the mountains are just a stones throw away to hike up and the people are incredibly friendly.
For such a small city, there are tons of attractions and things to do in and around the town. There are the mud baths which we have already indulged in, a monkey island to boat out to, an island water park owned by a Vietnamese billionaire, waterfalls, local history... everything. We rented a motorbike for $5 for the entire day and drove 10 miles out of town to a secluded beach where we looked up and down for half a mile and couldn't see another person.

More updates to come once we do more adventuring in Nha Trang.... and get over our sunburn from the secluded beach trip.
